1800s-1900s Model 1841 12-pounder Howitzers.
Was made to hit targets that would be obscured to a regular gun. Part of the U.S artillery series. Ammunition used for it is spherical case, common shell, and canister. Its manufacture is various Federal Arsenals. Was used during the Civil War on both sides. A bronze smoothbore.
This is very interesting. During my research I found a lot of Howitzers, but not this one. Great job(:
